Vendor Spotlight: The Bamboo Spoon
Founded by Mark Penalosa and Brian Pendleton, The Bamboo Spoon is more than just a restaurant concept—it's a culinary journey rooted in passion, expertise, and a commitment to sharing the rich flavors of Filipino cuisine.
Born from a desire to diversify their professional portfolio and fill a critical gap in the local food scene, Mark and Brian transformed their entrepreneurial spirit into a vibrant culinary venture. With Mark's extensive background in hospitality and Brian's strategic business acumen, they saw an opportunity to introduce authentic Filipino cuisine to their community.
The Bamboo Spoon specializes in the ultimate Filipino comfort food: Lumpia. Their egg rolls are fried to golden perfection—shatteringly crisp on the outside and packed with savory flavor on the inside. Pair them with their signature Filipino Pancit Bihon, a gluten free stir fried rice noodle with vegetables, chicken, Chinese sausage, and a savory sauce that will sure to satisfy your cravings.
Their frozen Veggie Masala Lumpia are vegetarian and their delicious, cooked on site Pancit Bihon is gluten-free!
Their favorite part of the farmers market is the community and working with the other vendors!

Each week, we post a challenge for you all to find chalk drawings of fruits or veggies scattered around the market. Find all of them, and come to the market table for a stamp on your punch card (provided there). Once you get 6 stamps (you get one per week), you get a prize!
The weekly challenge will be posted in the newsletter and Instagram, which can be found, here!
