Field to Table hosts four local farmers markets in the Arlington, Virginia area that provide goods grown, harvested, or produced within 125 miles of the markets. We are committed to providing fresh, high-quality products while facilitating a welcoming community atmosphere.

For this week, we will be highlighting all of our new vendors at the market! Look below to find who they are & what they sell!



Weekly Scavenger Hunt Activity!
At all markets!
Each week, we post a challenge for you all to find chalk drawings of fruits or veggies scattered around the market. Find all of them, and come to the market table for a stamp on your punch card (provided there). Once you get 6 stamps (you get one per week), you get a prize!

Coming Mother’s Day Weekend!
Come to the market table to create your own flower bouquet!
🌼 Create Your Own Bouquet will happen Saturday, May 9th at Lubber Run Farmers Market starting at 9:00am until supplies run out!
🌷 Freshly cut flowers will be provided by @barajasproduceva and each bouquet costs $25 to create, which can be paid directly to Barajas at their market table.

Live Music: DC Starlight Orchestra
Join us on Saturday to hear a performance by The DC Starlight Orchestra!
The SC Starlight Orchestra is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that provides music education and performance opportunities. Their jazz big band, composed mostly of Federal employees in the Washington DC area, performs charts from the swing era to today at a variety of events, including restaurants, community music concert series and senior centers. The band started in the early 1990s and has continuously provided musical entertainment with a rotating set of musicians.
They believe in the power of music to bring people together in spirit and in harmony and want to share the beauty and history of jazz with you.

Justin is a dynamic and versatile accordion performer based in the Metropolitan area, known for his wide-ranging musical talents and vibrant stage presence. His performance experience spans an impressive variety of genres and settings—from leading rock bands (once opening for the legendary Jefferson Starship) to conducting orchestras for musical theater productions. THIS SUNDAY: Julia Sues for Freedom!
Come to the Westover Farmers Market Library Plaza at 11:00am this Sunday to see a reenactment of an historic courtroom drama, Julia Sues for Freedom, a scripted reenactment of an 1842 court case in which an enslaved woman sued to win her freedom!
Participate in the story! Audience members will be offered the opportunity to be a part of the jury. The performance will last 30 minutes!

Live Music: Allstar Jazz Band 🎷
Visit this weekend to hear the Allstar Jazz Band, led by Tommy Greco this Sunday. The All Star Jazz band is composed of local musicians, providing them live and recorded opportunities to showcase their music, with styles such as jazz, funk and big band music.

Happy Earth Week! This week we are celebrating all seasonal produce! Purchasing local produce (and food in general) from our vendors is an amazing way to support the Earth!
Buying seasonal and local produce benefits us by…
Allowing us to create direct relationships with the folks growing our food
Our produce retains more flavor and nutritional value when there is a shorter time between harvesting and consumption
Supporting our community and economy: keeping dollars local!
Less packaging and less emissions used in transportation means less greenhouse gases in the atmosphere!
