Current Weather Forecast…
Saturday 🔆: The predicted high is 89 and a low of 74. It looks like there may be a bit of off and on rain!
Sunday 🔆: A bit cooler than Saturday, there is a high of 86 and low of 73! Get all of your market favorites!
Air Quality: Be mindful of air quality this weekend and practice safety when spending time outdoors! Below are some air quality tips from the Metropolitan Washington Council of Government (CGO).
Everyone should reduce their exposure to wildfire smoke. In general, most healthy adults and children will experience minor effects, such as respiratory irritation, and recover quickly from smoke. However, certain groups may be at greater risks of more severe health effects, such as people with heart and lung disease, children, older adults, and outdoor workers.
The AirNow website recommends the following during wildfire events:
Take it easier during smoky times. If you can see or smell smoke, avoid strenuous activities such as mowing the lawn or going for a run.
Reschedule outdoor work tasks and activities to a time when air quality improves. If outdoor tasks and activities cannot be rescheduled and must be conducted when air quality is poor, it is recommended that individuals reduce smoke inhalation by:
Limiting the time spent outdoors by only performing essential activities.
Taking frequent breaks indoors in places where the air is clean, especially during periods with high outdoor levels of wildfire smoke.
If you must work outdoors, choosing a mask that will protect you like an N95 respirator mask. Cloth masks will not protect you from wildfire smoke.

Cherrydale Farmers Market now accepts Yiftee!
In 2012, Yiftee was founded with the mission of creating more ways for local dollars to stay local. They do this through their Community Cards: a single card redeemable at a curated network of local merchants, so funds stay in our community at the businesses you choose.
All Cherrydale Farmers Market vendors accept Yiftee, so if you have a card you are hoping to use, or an occasion where you are deciding on the perfect gift to give, Yiftee is a great way to support our local vendors!

📰 Field to Table Articles of Interest 📰
Produce Loss this Season
This spring brought unusually challenging weather to farms in the MidAtlantic, including a late freeze in April that hit just as many crops were beginning to bloom. As a result, Field to Table vendors experienced significant losses in fruits and early-season produce.
Because of this, you may notice a more limited local selection at the market this Spring-Fall. To keep vendors stocked and meet customer demand, some farmers will be supplementing with carefully sourced produce from outside the region. All vendors will have signage with where their produce is sourced from if it is not coming directly from their farm.
We appreciate your understanding—and as always, supporting our vendors means supporting farmers navigating a tough season.

AFAC Donations
Field to Table is so happy to be Arlington Food Assistance Center’s 2026 Community Partner of the Year! Through our partnership, we have been able to provide 42,000 pounds of food to Arlingtonians in facing food insecurity.
This past weekend, Field to Table accepted this Community Partner Award from AFAC. We are so happy to contribute to local food access and food security in Arlington!
How can you get involved? We have donation bins each week at our market. You can donate fresh or nonperishable food (no glass, please)! That gets picked up by AFAC’s amazing volunteers!
