Weekly Scavenger Hunt Activity!

Each week, we post a challenge for you all to find chalk drawings of fruits or veggies scattered around the market. Find all of them, and come to the market table for a stamp on your punch card (provided there). Once you get 6 stamps (you get one per week), you get a prize!

She has roots in folk, country, and alternative and enjoys improvising, writing original music, and creating unique covers. Live Music: Mike Setti
A Virginia native, Mike brings his acoustic guitar and vocal talents to the DMV area with his acoustic performances. Any given weekend finds him providing the soundtrack to your morning farmers market run, initiating singalongs at the afternoon pub crawl, or closing the evening down at your favorite local watering hole.
Mike's catalogue includes current cross-spectrum hits, that classic you totally forgot about (but still know every lyric to), and even a few of his originals that have become crowd favorites over the years.

Produce Loss this Season
This spring brought unusually challenging weather to farms in the MidAtlantic, including a late freeze in April that hit just as many crops were beginning to bloom. As a result, Field to Table vendors experienced significant losses in fruits and early-season produce.
Because of this, you may notice a more limited local selection at the market this Spring-Fall. To keep vendors stocked and meet customer demand, some farmers will be supplementing with carefully sourced produce from outside the region. All vendors will have signage with where their produce is sourced from if it is not coming directly from their farm.
We appreciate your understanding—and as always, supporting our vendors means supporting farmers navigating a tough season.
AFAC Donations
Field to Table is so happy to be Arlington Food Assistance Center’s 2026 Community Partner of the Year! Through our partnership, we have been able to provide 42,000 pounds of food to Arlingtonians in facing food insecurity.
This past weekend, Field to Table accepted this Community Partner Award from AFAC. We are so happy to contribute to local food access and food security in Arlington!
How can you get involved? We have donation bins each week at our market. You can donate fresh or nonperishable food (no glass, please)! That gets picked up by AFAC’s amazing volunteers!
Vendors Looking for Assistance
Hog Haven:
Hog Haven Farm seeking help for its farmers market operation in the Merrifield and surrounding areas.
We are a family run heritage hog farm who also vends hot food (made on-site breakfast sandwiches featuring the pork we raise) at multiple farmers market locations in the area (mostly weekend mornings) [www.HogHavenFarm.com].
We need both cooks and front-of-booth salespeople. Some kitchen and/or front house restaurant experience a plus but will train the right candidates. Preference given to those comfortable in both the front and the back.
Most shifts are weekend mornings, 4 to 6 hours per shift, at locations mostly in NoVa, some in DC and MD. The location you work from shift to shift will generally vary. Must have reliable transportation and be willing to go where needed.
**Especially in need of those that have a vehicle (SUV or larger) and who can and are willing to carry supplies to and from the market (extra comp for this).**
Preference also given to those willing to work some hours Friday afternoons and after the weekend markets at our Merrifield warehouse, helping to clean up and reset for the next day's markets.
Compensation is starting base of $12.50 per hour, plus tips and bonuses. For market hours will consistently take home $25+/hr (there is a 3-shift paid training period, base only). Worker discount also offered and 1 free sandwich per shift. Warehouse hours pay base+$1 (consideration for raises to base pay given to those that work at the warehouse sooner than to those working just at the markets).

Please further note that this is not an ideal position for someone who is unemployed or otherwise has nothing else going on during the week, as it is only part-time. We are looking for those that want a longer-term part-time position and have an expectation to work at least through the market season. Position requires some training to do well, even for experienced individuals.
*This is a W-2 position. Tax identification and full authorization to work in the US required.*
La Calderia: Liz Zepeda
La Caldería is seeking energetic and outgoing health ambassadors to join their farmers market team for weekend markets across Northern Virginia and Washington, DC. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys connecting with people, being outdoors, and sharing wellness-focused products in a community-driven environment.
Responsibilities include setting up and breaking down the booth, offering samples, educating customers about our freeze-dried bone broth products, handling sales transactions, and maintaining a welcoming presence at the markets.
Compensation includes market-day pay, sales bonuses, and tips, along with a free bag of dog treats to take home. Saturday and Sunday markets available.
Applicants must have reliable transportation to travel to and from the markets. Interested individuals should email [email protected] with a short note about themselves and their availability to apply.
