Happy fall! 🍁 As we round out our first week of official fall, the weather has been cooling down and forecasts for this weekend look promising with sunny weather on Saturday and Sunday and highs in the 70s and lows in the 50s. 🔆 We look forward to seeing you this weekend!  📆 Mark Your Calendars! 🎃 Jack O’Looza!

Join us October 25th and 26th at all of our markets for a Halloween costume contest and Jack-o-lantern carving and decorating!

Come to the market table at 10:00am to show off your costume! Awards will be given at 10:30 for Most Creative 🎨, Funniest 😂, Scariest 👻, and Best Costume! All ages are encouraged to participate!

Join us for pumpkin carving and decorating as well! Purchase a pumpkin from a vendor or bring one from home! We will be providing pumpkin carving tools, stencils, paint pens, and googly eyes! Adult supervision is required while carving pumpkins.

Pumpkin carving is scheduled from 9:00am-11:30 at Cherrydale, Lubber Run, and Westover and 10:00am-12:30pm at Fairlington.

Chef Patrice Olivon, the one and only! Former White House Chef, French Embassy Chef, and Iron Chef winner and now … Musician at the market!

“Thank you so much for giving me the chance to play at the market this Saturday. Though I’ve played guitar for years, this is my first time performing live, and I’ve been practicing all summer to prepare. I’m stepping out of my comfort zone to follow a dream that means a lot to me. I’ll be sharing songs by artists I love, plus an original piece inspired by my brother’s brave fight with cancer. I’m truly excited to share my music and connect with everyone there.”

Due to his using his hands to play the guitar, there will be no crepes at the market this weekend!

Weekly Scavenger Hunt Activity!

Each week, we post a challenge for you all to find chalk drawings of fruits or veggies scattered around the market. Find all of them, and come to the market table for a stamp on your punch card (provided there). Once you get 6 stamps (you get one per week), you get a prize!

Field to Table has partnered with the Arlington Food Assistance Center (AFAC) to have donation boxes available each week at all farmers markets. Support the Arlington community by donating nonperishable food items (no glass, please) at our markets. Learn more.

AFAC is in most need of canned fruits, canned tuna, canned soups, canned vegetables, canned tomatoes, peanut butter (in a plastic jar), cereal, and plastic water bottles!
